“KIOSK Gand” is a project in the Gand district of the municipality of Eppan, aimed at strengthening local supply and creating a meeting place through the implementation of a multifunctional kiosk. From May to November 2024, LIA Collective – commissioned by Vivius KGmbH and the municipality of Eppan – developed and implemented the participation process, building on the usage concept developed in 2022. The goal was to work together with the residents of Gand to define the design, use, and management of the planned kiosk, as well as to derive concrete steps for activating the structure.

Client: Vivius Cluster

To strengthen social networks and foster a sense of belonging, identification, and shared responsibility, social village and neighborhood development relies on the active involvement of local people as experts in their own living environment. By encouraging self-initiative and providing the necessary tools, the participation process empowers them to advocate for the needs of their community.

As part of the specifically tailored participation process, a survey was conducted, along with a “Gand Café” and a future workshop.
