The goal of the project "Future Vision Der Waldhof2" was to develop a new vision for the Hotel Der Waldhof2, located in Völlan (South Tyrol). Why? After an in-depth examination of their personal and business situation, current developments in the tourism industry, and other contemporary challenges, the Mahlknecht family set out to strategically reorient their business Der Waldhof² in terms of both long-term strategy and spatial structure. Um sich systematisch mit dieser herausfordernden Aufgabe auseinanderzusetzen, wurde das LIA Collective hinzugezogen. Das gemeinsam erarbeitete, interdisziplinäre Projekt dient nun als räumliche, soziale und strategische Grundlage für die Neuorientierung des Betriebs.

In Phase 1, the historical development and spatial integration of the structure were examined over an extended period, and the current business situation was analyzed in terms of mobility, resource consumption, purchasing, and other factors. Additionally, both employees and guests were involved, and the existing corporate structure, strategy, and culture were scrutinized more closely.






In Phase 2 of the interdisciplinary project, building on the results from Phase 1, the vision, mission, and strategies for a business reorientation were defined. Now the Mahlknecht family has a document in hand and can take care of the implementation step by step!
